I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
